Healthy Happy Kidz wants to dispel the myth that cooking for someone with diabetes means you have to skimp on good taste. Nothing could be further from the truth! This site gathers good-to-eat recipes that are tailored to kids who have diabetes and their families. In reality, we'd all be healthier (and happier) if we ate the well-balanced, low carbohydrate meals that keep diabetes on track.
Most importantly, Healthy Happy Kidz is a community where parents, caregivers and those with diabetes can share their cooking successes and war stories ... like what low carb meal made everyone in the family happy to eat – even the pickiest of eaters ... or which dessert recipe shot blood glucose readings through the roof.
We also want to offer diabetes survival tips, including what low-carb foods to "Fill The Plate" when someone's stomach is grumbling but the BG monitor says that only low carb snacks are allowed.
